The swiss team with Peter De Cruz, Benoit Schwarz as 4th player, Daniel Märki and Valentin Tanner had a difficult start into the tournament with 2 losses in the first three games, which put them into the c-road quite fast. But then, De Cruz won against Philippe Lemay and also the all swiss c-road final against Sven Michel for the playoff qualification.
With Niklas Edin and Pascal Hess (through b-road), two more european teams qualified for these playoffs on saturday afternoon.
Edin and DeCruz made it into the semi-finals while Pascal Hess lost his game against former world silver medallist Jean-Michel Menard 3:7.
The hopes were there for an all european final, but Brad Jacobs won against Niklas Edin 6:2 and was the opponent in the Championship game against Peter De Cruz who beated Menard 7:3 in the semi-final.
With a win of CAD $12'000, Peter de Cruz makes a huge jump on top of the CCT money list with a total of over CAD $30'000.
